All international orders are shipped on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis, meaning customs duties, taxes, or courier fees upon arrival are the customer’s responsibility.

Delivery Costs

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout and do not include any import duties, taxes, or courier handling fees. These are charged separately to you by the local courier when your order enters the U.S.

Custom Duties & Taxes

US orders are subject to import duties, courier handling fees, and federal, state, or local taxes. These charges are not included in your order total and must be paid directly to the courier before delivery.

  • Our footwear and apparel are made in China, so U.S. import duties can be high and depend on the materials used, as outlined in the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
  • State and local sales taxes may also apply, depending on your delivery address (typically ~7-10% in many states). You can check your state’s rules through your local tax authority.
  • Carrier brokerage/handling fees may be added by FedEx, UPS, DHL, or USPS for advancing duties/taxes on your behalf.
  • You will be notified by the carrier once your goods arrive in the U.S. to pay all applicable duties, taxes, and fees.

We are unable to offer estimates of these duties due to the speed at which policy changes occur. As such, it is the customer’s responsibility to check the relevant duty rates, sales tax rates, and carrier fees before purchasing.

Delivery Costs

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout. The following delivery costs apply:

  • Orders over £140 qualify for free shipping
  • Orders between £0–£129.99 incur a £3.99 standard delivery fee

Custom Duties & Taxes

Footwear and apparel sold by notwoways is subject to the UK’s standard VAT rate of 20%, which is included in the price you pay. No additional customs duties, taxes, or fees apply to UK orders.

Custom Duties & Taxes

EU (European Union) orders benefit from the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme:

  • Orders under €150 → VAT is calculated at checkout and no additional fees or customs duties are due on delivery.
  • Orders above €150 → Both customs duties and VAT must be paid when your parcel enters the EU. Your courier will contact you with the amount due before delivery.
  • Since our products are manufactured in China, duty rates will depend on our product’s classification under the EU TARIC system.

It is the customer’s responsibility to check the relevant duty rates, sales tax rates, and carrier fees for their country before purchasing.
