NO.LIFE 001

Welcome to our way of life. Here's a curated list of what we’ve loved and hated over the last seven days, straight from Callux and Rocky.

CALLUX'S PICKS >

KSI /  Britain's Got Talent

I’ve watched JJ go from FIFA in his bedroom to blowing the roof off Britain’s Got Talent. He rolled in with a whole squad of dancers and pyros like it was the O2. If that’s the new baseline, his next tour is about to feel like WrestleMania. Proud to be witnessing history every single day.

…and Skepta’s a fan.

Hit play on “Cops & Robbers” - Sammy Virji + Skepta.

He slid a cheeky “I’m still in my prime, oh KSI….” UK culture folding in on itself, and I’m here for every second of it. Been looping it while editing, instant energy boost.

Bitcoin @ $106.4k - You in or out?

This is not financial advice, but yes, I’m still stacking sats.

I got into crypto back in 2016 thanks to a friend. Cheers, Nick.
Ethereum was $8. The train has been derailed many times over the years, but it seems to still be going straight on by. New ATHS are printed every few years; 2025 is one of those years.

It’s been a wild ride, and we’re aren’t anywhere near the end yet… $1m by the time I die.

After Party Studios x SXSW London - My other business.

9 years ago, Ben, Rich, Josh and I created magic. But what is APS?

APS is a creative production company. We ideate and create ads, content and films that online audiences want to share.

There’s a 99% chance that you’ll have consumed some of our content over the past 10 years. Did you watch the Sidemen match? Or WillNE’s Rodd’s coffee launch video? Sky Sports ‘Scenes’? Yep, us.

Ben and I were invited to speak at South by SouthWest about: [brands] ‘thinking like a creator’.

Here’s a TLDR:
- Idea-First Approach: Prioritise the creative concept and address paperwork subsequently.
- Value of Repetition: Consistent pitching refines creative instincts. Be sure to separate personal worth from the merit of an idea.
- Calculated Risk-Taking: Recognise valuable opportunities and assess them carefully. A balance of impulsiveness and caution is crucial for significant change.
- Building a Content Ecosystem: Begin by showcasing the individual creator, foster trust through transparency about the creative process, and then expand into comprehensive world-building. Compelling stories transcend platforms.
- We’ve developed strong creative reflexes through extensive pitching experience.

Underdog of the Week - Tennis

Loïs Boisson (ranked #361) sent world #3 Jessica Pegula packing at Roland-Garros.
I love a reminder that rankings are just numbers until the ball’s in play. Big salute, Loïs. You are living proof that anything can happen under the lights.

Sydney Sweeney’s “Bathwater” Soap

Sydney partnered with Dr. Squatch to drop soap made with water from her bath shoot.
Belle Delphine walked so Sydney could sprint. Gross? Genius? Probably both. And you know the limited drop sold out before I finished writing this sentence.
Where can I buy on resale? asking for a friend…

ROCKY’S PICKS >

LV’s Khaki green is the new black

Since Louis Vuitton unveiled its Resort 2026 runway, stacked with refined greens, browns and beiges. I can’t see anything else. Add London’s current obsession with matcha and green tea, and it feels certain: khaki green is about to dominate our wardrobes. I’m already converted…

Edgy Labubu’s

Gentle Monster just dropped its Pocket Collection with Bratz, and the pop-up looks wild.

The moment I spotted those fold-up sunglasses you can clip on your bag like a charm, I was sold. The dolls are still not my vibe, but maybe this is the next wave of elevated Labubu’s? I need something edgy to replace those ugly ones.

Jenna Ortega x NTW??

100% true story.

A few days ago, I popped into the local off-licence for snacks, ended up petting a black whippet, and boom… its owner turns around: Jenna Ortega. What is she doing in the N5? The cashier even asked for her ID, so that confirmed it. I’m still kicking myself for not asking her shoe size. Such an idiot. Anyone want to make the link?

FLOP or FIRE: NIKE × LEGO

We first heard whispers of Nike x Lego over a year ago.

Wave one is now here: an Air Max DN, a Dunk Low, and a pre-order for the Nike Dunk Lego set. As a dedicated Lego builder, I’m underwhelmed. It feels pitched at kids, unlike Lego’s cultural take on the Adidas Superstar back in the day. And a Dunk as the opener… really? It's a cool concept, but I know these design teams can do something legendary.

p.s. If anyone wants to sell me the minifig that comes with it, shout!

Putting Suriname (football) on the map..

From Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch holding the flag in Virgil’s latest post, to Denzel Dumfries chatting about Surinamese veggies on CBS, even Mathys Tel sprinting the pitch with the flag after Spurs won the Europa League… being Surinamese has never felt better. My pride is at max level.

A Converse vs Puma NBA Finals

I’ve watched basketball all my life and over-analysed every sneaker on the court.
For once, the Finals stars aren’t in Jordan Brand, Nike, Under Armour or Adidas. Instead, we’ll see Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton (Puma) go head-to-head with OKC’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Converse). A sneaker showdown for the ages, and I’m here for it.

NTW basketball shoes one day? Fingers crossed.
